- 2:8
And of النَّاسِ
are some who say, "We believe in Allah and اَلْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ," but هُم are not مُؤْمِنِينَ .
- 2:9
They [think to] deceive Allah and those who
believe, but they deceive not except them أَنفُس
and perceive [it] not.
- 2:10
In their قُلُوبِ is مَّرَضٌ , so Allah has increased their مَرَضًا ; and for them is عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ because
they [habitually] used to lie.
- 2:11
And when it is said to هُم , "Do not cause
corruption on الْأَرْضِ ,"
they say, " نَحْنُ are
only مُصْلِحُونَ ."
- 2:12
Unquestionably, it is they who are الْمُفْسِدُونَ , but they
perceive [it] not.
---------
- 2:16
Those are the ones who have purchased الضَّلَالَةَ [in
exchange] for اَلْهُدَىٰ , so
their تِجَارَة has brought no profit, nor were they guided.
- 2:17
Their مَثَل
is that of one who
kindled a نَار, but when it illuminated what was around
him, Allah took away their نُور and left
them in ظُلُمَاتٍ
[so] they could not see.
- 2:18
صُمٌّ , بُكْمٌ and عُمْيٌ - so they will not return [to the right
path].
- 2:19
Or [it is] like صَيِّبٍ
from
السَّمَاءِ within which is ظُلُمَاتٌ , وَرَعْدٌ
and وَبَرْقٌ . They put their أَصَابِع in their آذَان against
the الصَّوَاعِقِ for fear of الْمَوْتِ
. But Allah is encompassing of the الْكَافِرِينَ .
- 2:20
الْبَرْقُ almost snatches away their أَبْصَار . Every time it lights [the
way] for them, they walk therein; but when darkness comes over them, they stand
[still]. And if Allah had willed, He could have taken away their سَمْع and their أَبْصَار . Indeed, Allah is قَدِيرٌ over every شَيْءٍ.
- 2:21
O النَّاسُ , worship
your رَبّ , who created you and those
before you, that you may become righteous -
- 2:22
[He] who made for you the earth فِرَاشًا [spread out] and the sky بِنَاءً and sent down from the sky, مَاءً and brought forth thereby الثَّمَرَاتِ as رِزْقًا for you. So do not attribute to
Allah أَندَادًا while you know [that there is
nothing similar to Him].
2:23
And if you are in رَيْبٍ
about what We have sent down upon Our عَبْد [Muhammad],
then produce سُورَةٍ the like thereof and call upon your
شُهَدَاءَ other than Allah, if you are صَادِقِينَ .
- 2:24
But if you do not - and you will never be able to -
then fear النَّارَ , whose وَقُود are men and الْحِجَارَةُ
, prepared for the disbelievers.
2:25
And give good tidings to those who believe and do الصَّالِحَاتِ that they will have جَنَّاتٍ [in Paradise] beneath which الْأَنْهَارُ flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of ثَمَرَةٍ therefrom, they will say,
"This is what we were provided with قَبْلُ
." And it is given to them in likeness.
And they will have therein أَزْوَاجٌ مُّطَهَّرَةٌ , and they will be خَالِدُونَ
in
it.
- 2:26
Indeed, Allah is not timid to present an example -
that of a بَعُوضَةً or what is smaller than it. And those who
have believed know that it is الْحَقُّ from their Lord. But as for those who
disbelieve, they say, "What did Allah intend by this as مَثَلًا ?" He misleads كَثِيرًا thereby and guides كَثِيرًا thereby. And He misleads not
except the الْفَاسِقِينَ
2:27
Who break the عَهْدَ
of Allah after contracting it and sever that which
Allah has ordered to be joined and cause corruption on earth. It is those who
are الْخَاسِرُونَ .
VERB
2:
1-3 This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those
conscious of Allah -Who يُؤْمِنُونَ
in the unseen,
establish prayer, and يُنفِقُونَ
of what We have
provided for them
2:4
And who believe in what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was
revealed before you, and of the Hereafter يُوقِنُونَ
2:7
Allah خَتَمَ upon their hearts
and upon their hearing.
2:
10 In their hearts is disease, so Allah has increased their disease; and for
them is a painful punishment because they [habitually] used to يَكْذِبُونَ
2:
13 And when it is said to them, "Believe as the people have
believed," they say, "Should we believe as the foolish have
believed?" Unquestionably, it is they who are the foolish, but يَعْلَمُونَ not.
2:15
[But] Allah يَسْتَهْزِئُ them and prolongs
them in their transgression [while] يَعْمَهُونَ
2:16-17
Those are the ones who have purchased error [in exchange] for guidance, so
their transaction has brought no profit, nor were they guided. Their example is
that of one who اسْتَوْقَدَ
a
fire, but when it illuminated what was around him, Allah ذَهَبَ their light and تَرَكَ
them in darkness [so] يُبْصِرُونَ
not
2:18 Deaf,
dumb and blind - so يَرْجِعُونَ not
